Welcome to Alpha Jockey Club Inc.

Alpha, ‘The Gateway to the West’, received a welcome return to country racing with its inaugural annual race day held in June 2013, being the first racing held in well over a decade for the tiny township.  Country Racing has become one of the biggest social events over recent years, and Alpha has quickly cemented itself as a must do on the racing calendar for the young and old, and those both from near and afar.

With around 3,000 in attendance at the Alpha Races, the day has grown exponentially, attracting visitors from not only Central & Western Queensland, but from all over the state, and further afield, offering a fabulous day of socialising, racing and entertainment.  The day features a six race program, finishing with the 1700m Alpha Cup, Fashions on the Field, live band, bar and a variety of catering options, and kids entertainment.
