Alpha, known as “The Gateway to the West”, proudly revived its country racing tradition in June 2013, hosting the town’s first race meet in over a decade. Since then, the Alpha Races have become one of the standout social events on the regional calendar, drawing racegoers young and old, locals and visitors alike.

Today, the event welcomes over 3,000 attendees and continues to grow, attracting crowds from across Central and Western Queensland – and far beyond. More than just a race meet, the Alpha Races promise a full day of excitement, entertainment, and country hospitality.
